Please read this. This is why I’m making this tumblr. I may have been fixing bad art, but I’ve also been calling for better, more appropriate storytelling. I haven’t even touched the costuming issue! This is a long, comprehensive article that I hope will be shared and read and understood, and mostly acted upon.

As a writer, as a girl, as a comic book fan… I think everyone needs to read this one. It’s something that isn’t addressed enough by anyone of any gender and it’s a problem that gets at the heart of a larger cultural issue.
